  • WHAT IS AMELIA TRAIL BUILDERS CLUB
    ATBC is the Amelia Trail Builders Club. Formed by a group of passionate mountain bikers with the main purpose of maintaining and enhancing Amelia Earhart Trails. ATBC is a 501(c)3 Non-Profit Organization that is responsible for building and maintaining all trails and fire roads within the Amelia Earhart Trail System. Note: ATBC is no longer stewarding the MTB Trails. Contact the Park Office to discuss trail related issues.
  • WHO OWNS THE LAND THE TRAILS ARE ON?
    Miami-Dade County currently owns the land the park sits on.
  • WHO BUILT THE TRAILS?
    See the About > Amelia Trails section of the website for a brief history of how this park came to be what it is today.
  • HOW MANY MILES OF TRAILS ARE THERE?
    There are approximately 8 miles of trails.
  • WHEN ARE THE TRAILS OPEN?
    Amelia Earhart Park is open from Sunrise to Sunset.
  • HOW DIFFICULT ARE THE TRAILS?
    Amelia Trails are primarily a XC (Cross-Country) style trail system which is characterized by having mostly fast sections and not too much technical terrain. All trails with technical features have bypasses for novices and are considered Adaptive Trails.
  • ARE HELMETS REQUIRED?
    Yes, helmets are always required inside the trails.
  • ARE THE TRAILS ONE WAY ONLY?
    Yes, the single track style trail system is meant to accommodate riders going in one direction only. Not to worry, we reverse the trail direction every 6 months to add some variety to the park.
  • ARE THERE BIKE RENTALS?
    Yes, there is bike rentals at the Trailhead. The rental company is run by Genesis bikes which is independent of both Amelia Earhart Park and ATBC. They are open on weekends only.
